So I'm back in blogland after an extended hiatus, so I thought I would go back and post the highlights of the end of Ruby's first fabulous year. Aaron and I have had high points and low points, many trials and tribulations during our first year of parenthood... but with our girl Ruby Claire, there is never a shortage of laughter and love, which makes life just beautiful.
We went to Waco for miss Caroline's 5th Birthday party. Alicia, Caroline's mom, has been a best friend of mine since fifth grade, and it is so special to be able to share this special journey of motherhood with her. Although Caroline is so much older than Ruby, they both still enjoy each other in their own way. Ruby is fascinated by the older girls, and they assume the caregiver/guide role. It is so sweet. Here are a few pics of the fun- this is one of the first moments that I really started seeing my "baby" fade away, but was so excited by the emerging toddler...
